Job Description

Operations

· Maintain and Improve System, Network, and Service Uptime.

· Ensure Infrastructure scaleability and reliably across 4 Datacenters, 40 sites, and Cloud Instances.

· Manage Infrastructure Change Management Process.

· Manage Team & Partners to drive quality services for NuVasive.

· Maintain and Manage IT Operational Budgets.

· Serve as primary interface between IT Team and Audit Teams.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Empowers employees to take responsibility for their area of expertise..

· Coaches, mentors, engages and develops the team, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and learning opportunities.

· Sets performance standards and encourages employee engagement and results through delegation, continuous feedback, goal setting, and performance management.

· Maintains transparent communication. Appropriately communicates organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, and regular interpersonal communication.

Projects

  • Manage infrastructure projects and requests.

  • Develop and recommend project budgets based on available information.

  • Research and recommend new technologies and solutions.

  • Maintain Hardware Life Cycle Management Across NuVasive.

  • Vendor, Partner, and Service Contact Management.

  • Serve as IT Partner to Project teams: Site Expansions, Site Moves, New Applications, DataCenter, and Cloud builds / deployment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related technical field plus 10 years of experience with broad and deep technical knowledge of IT infrastructure design and implementation, and ongoing operations and performance management across an enterprise footprint. Or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

  • 5+ years of management experience for outsourced vendors in infrastructure or related IT scope services.

  • 5+ years of experience in managing the financial planning and budgeting process.

  • Must be a self-starter with a strong interest in technology and the ability to deal with a fast paced environment and ambiguity.

  • Possess expert knowledge and practical application of IT infrastructure technology in an enterprise scope.

  • Hands-on experience supporting core Infrastructure computing services.

  • Strong understanding of technical troubleshooting methodology.

  • Ability to facilitate problem solving among administrative groups with varying needs and priorities, and to communicate well with administrative users, technical staff, and senior management.

  • Strong team building, leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

  • Excellent English oral, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills across organizational boundaries.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Ability to work with a range of technical staff to develop joint solutions in project and ongoing support situations.

  • Ability to achieve efficiencies through workflow improvement.

  • Experience with AWS and Azure (or other major cloud provider) server/instance management and monitoring is highly required.

  • Experience with International Data Laws

  • Experience managing and operating International Data Centers

  • Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Experience with Distributed & Remote teams.

  • Experience Supporting 24/7 Business Operations

  • Experience with Enterprise Security Best Practices

  • Experience managing & negotiating enterprise agreements & contracts.
